Staff engineer at R1 RCM, counselor in training at NYU, and intern at Alloy Psychotherapy.

I've been building software for over fifteen years, mostly in healthcare. I was a founding engineer at Hospital IQ, managed engineering teams at Regard, spent a few years at Neuroflow working on behavioral health, and I'm now a staff engineer at R1 RCM. A lot of that work has been EHR integrations, data infrastructure, and figuring out how to get useful clinical tools into the hands of people who actually need them.
Along the way I noticed that the parts of my job I cared about most weren't really about code. They were about sitting across from someone on my team who was going through something hard and being useful in that conversation. I kept gravitating toward the people stuff — mentoring, hiring, helping folks navigate rough patches.
So now I'm also getting my MS in Mental Health Counseling at NYU Steinhardt, and I'm seeing clients as a counseling intern at Alloy Psychotherapy in New York. I don't plan to pick one career over the other.
